Nutritional Health Services

There is an abundance of information in the media these days regarding 'Healthy Eating'; however, steadily increasing national levels of overweight and obese adults suggests that many people are struggling to indentify nutrition information that is relevant to their lifestyle.

CHMs team of Nutritionists and Dietitians aim to provide nutrition education that is simple and enjoyable for all. This includes informing our clients of the latest nutrition research and trends, and at the same time helping individuals put this knowledge into practice.

But how does nutrition effect employee performance?

Research has demonstrated a strong correlation between poor nutrition and reduced levels of energy, motivation, concentration and mood, which inevitably results in poorer performance in the workplace. This affects not only the individual, but also those who interact with him/her on a regular basis.

The effect of good and bad nutrition choices has the power to permeate almost every aspect of an employees life, including:

  • Ability to get to work on time
  • Concentration levels during important meetings
  • Ability to sleep soundly at night
  • Ability to focus on attention to detail
  • Maintenance of healthy bodyweight

On-Site Nutrition Audits

One of the most common barriers to employee healthy eating is the lack of convenience of healthy food choices onsite at their workplaces. During this audit, an accredited Nutritionist assesses the availability of healthy food choices, as well as exposure to poor choices.

Employee Nutrition Survey

This is designed to provide CHM with an insight to the employee barriers to healthy eating and downfalls to their current diet. Whether this is lack of nutritional education, time, motivation, organization or convenience, this can help CHM tailor their programs to suit the needs or your employees.

Seminars

CHM can run seminars/workshops on various topics, including but not limited to Foods for Energy, Label Reading, Weight Loss, Reducing Cholesterol Levels, Preventing or Managing Diabetes, Nutrition for Parents, Ideal Meals, Exercise and Nutrition, Food Myths, Sports Nutrition and Performance.

Nutrition Consultations

Employees can work one-on-one with an Accredited Dietitian to achieve their weight, health and performance goals. The dietician goes onsite to conduct the consultations and follow-up sessions with employees.

Online Health Resources

Our Online Health Resource obtains a wide range of current, up-to-date health and lifestyle information. Staff can access topics from A to Z, along with recent news, a catalogue of healthy recipes and monthly newsletters.

Healthy Cooking Workshops/Demonstrations

This educates participants how to prepare and cook some quick and healthy meals. This can be tailored to the needs of clients and can include lunches, dinners, deserts and snacks. Participants also get the opportunity to sample all food prepared on the day. These workshops are great for proving participants with better meal planning skills.

Healthy Supermarket Shopping Tours

This workshop would be most beneficial following Nutritional consultations, or Seminars relating to Label Reading, and really puts into practice what employees have learnt. This practical, fun and interactive workshop gives participants the knowledge to shop with confidence and know exactly what it is they are buying.
